The Missions Experience
Here we go. Into the ‘ber’ months. Now the year will wrap up faster than we think. Haperry Hallivingismas and a Happy New Year. If we blink, we will miss out on some of the blessings that God provides through much of it. Let’s take time to enjoy each moment of family, friends, and the reason for all of it —God’s love and each breath we have.
As we continue our Bible in One Year Study, we are moving into Isaiah and Hezekiah’s faith being challenged; in the NT, we are in I Corinthians. Join us in reading God’s Word. It’s never too late. Visit our website’s Home Page or get your paper copy from the foyer.
Follow all What’s Happening on the church’s website. Read about and sign up for events, give tithes and offerings, give to Project 139, or you can contact us.
We have an ASL interpreter available at our second service!

Our Mission Opportunities
September is the month of new opportunities. As some change classes and explore new worlds, it can be a bit scary. Let’s open our arms and welcome new faces to the classroom. Just as you remember your first day, extend a loving arm to each other. Grab a taco, a drink, and provide a lesson plan. God is good. Share His love!! Love Charlotte!!
FBCC Children’s Ministry News
What a wonderful summer we have had in our Children’s Ministry! We were blessed to take 19 children to Alto Frio Kids Camp, where three of our children made decisions for Christ.
I am so thankful for our sponsors, Tricia Scott, and Michael Stimpson, and for Toma Wurzberg from Croatia, who joined us and was such a blessing to our boys.
As our children begin a new school year, please continue to pray that they will grow in their faith, make wise choices, and remember that God is with them wherever they go.
Also remember our teachers and school staff throughout this year—that God will give them wisdom, courage, protection, and a desire to honor Him in all they do.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”

A Word From Pastor Duane
Thank you for your faithfulness in attending, giving, and serving throughout the summer months. Because of your faithfulness, our attendance and giving have remained steady, and we have been able to continue loving and serving.
As you move into a more routine season, prioritize your walk with Jesus, attendance, service to His Church, and ministering to each other. We cannot serve God well without ministering to each other. Look for and take opportunities to serve, care for, and minister to others. John 13:25 says: “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Show people outside of Christ that you belong to Jesus – by loving one another.
Fall brings opportunities. What opportunities is the Lord bringing across your path? Opportunities to serve, love, and give. Take those opportunities and watch what the Lord does.
Project 139 continues! Project 139, based on I Corinthians 3:9 – “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.” - is our theme verse joining God to build a new facility to provide space to continue growing together. We are halfway there; come join us!
I love you all; thank you for allowing Sharon and me to serve you for 18 years!
