The Missions Experience

April. One third of the year has passed by. God continues to show His hand in the lives of those being changed at FBC Charlotte. Just as sure as He is Risen, God desires to make a difference in your life, too. If you don’t have a relationship with Him. Today is the perfect day to make that choice.

In our Bible in One Year Study, we are beginning Joshua in the OT and reading through Luke in the NT. Join us as we continue in God’s Word. Visit the link on our website’s Home Page or get your paper copy from the foyer. It’s never too late to start.

You can also visit the church’s website to see What’s Happening at FBC Charlotte. Read about and sign up for events, give tithes and offerings, and contact us.

We have an ASL interpreter available at our second service!

Our Mission Opportunities

April opens the door to VBS preparation. VBS is May 29 - June 4. This year’s theme is Illumination Station, shining a light on who Jesus really is. We broke records with attendance last year and are anticipating the same for 2026. If you plan to join us this year, our VBS Training session is on Sunday, April 26, from 12-2 PM. If you are new, this session is mandatory, so please plan to attend. Contact Sharon for more details about VBS!!

FBCC Youth Ministry News

On Wednesday nights, we have been going through the Gospel of John verse by verse, and the timing has coincided with Easter perfectly. We will study Jesus’ triumphal entry, the Wednesday before Easter, then go on the Pre-Easter Retreat at Alto Frio April 2nd-4th.

After Easter, we will continue through John and learn what is revealed about Jesus’ character and nature through his discourses with the disciples and High Priestly prayer before his arrest. I am hoping the students experience the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection in a whole new way this year, and that they know Jesus more deeply as we study Scripture through a Trinitarian lens.

Would you please pray for us as we go on retreat and as students seek to encounter God?

Youth Camp is July 6-10 at Alto Frio, and I would love for more students than ever to attend. Please let me know if you plan to! It is $265 for the first 30 students who turn in a $25 deposit. More details to follow in the coming month.

Thank you,

John Mark

A Word From Pastor Duane

“He is not here, but is risen.”  These words, spoken by the angels at the tomb of Jesus, and recorded in Luke 24:6, may be the greatest news ever given. These words provided the evidence proving what Jesus, as well as the prophets, said would take place. Jesus would be crucified, buried, and rise from the dead. Jesus did rise from the dead, victorious over sin and death. Jesus is alive!

Because Jesus is alive, eternal life is available for everyone who will believe. Have you believed in Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, believe in Jesus right now, admit to Him you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior.

Because Jesus is alive, we who have trusted Jesus as our Lord and Savior have the Holy Spirit living in us, guiding us, enabling us to live obedient lives, and making us more like Jesus.

Because Jesus is alive, we have good news to give to everyone. Jesus did not come to condemn anyone, but to save everyone who will believe in Him. Everyone can be saved if ONLY they will believe in Him!

Jesus is ALIVE! Happy Easter everyone! Be blessed and be a blessing. I love you all!

~~Pastor Duane
